Antenatal classes? ‘What do I need them for?’

If  this is a thought you're having about birth preparation? Then please read on!!

Giving birth is one of the most important events in your life! Think about all the other major life events you may have experienced, wedding, setting up your home, parties, major holidays. How much preparation and research would you put into events like this?? I imagine the answer is LOTS!! Researching venues, caterers, flowers, music, all organised and planned to help build the environment and experience you want on the day and for it to run as stress free as possible.
Preparation is key

So why then when it comes to giving Birth would it be any different.

These preparation classes can help give parents the tools and, more so , the information for you to make informed choices around organising for your birth, breastfeeding and journey into parenthood.
Remember, oxytocin the hormone responsible for helping labour progress is produced when you feel safe & comfortable! Stress produces adrenaline/cortisol which inhibits oxytocin, so the better informed you are the less stress about the unknown. This class will help empower you to prepare for the life altering journey that is birth and parenting!
